Camera access
Zenbu asks for Camera access only when you choose Take Photo. If access was denied, open iPhone Settings, select Zenbu Japanese, and enable Camera. You can still import an image from Photos or Files without Camera access.
Photos and files
Zenbu uses Apple's system pickers so you choose the image the app can read. If an image cannot be opened, try a smaller JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or another standard image file.
Translation
Japanese-to-English translation requires Apple's language assets to be installed and ready on the device. Check that your iPhone has available storage, then try again while connected to the internet so iOS can obtain any missing system language assets.
Remove local content
Delete an individual recent search or use Clear All in Recent Searches. Delete a word note from that word's detail screen. Images leave Zenbu's memory when you close the Image Text screen. Uninstalling Zenbu Japanese removes the app's remaining local data.
